Holiday surprise...A NEW ALBUM!

Live at Sam's Caravan OUT NOW!!!

Last month at Majors Creek Festival in New South Wales, I had the great fortune of playing the Sam's Caravan Stage. It is a boutique, intimate, first-class setting with Sam's enormous heart and luminous energy setting the scene.

I had an incredible time playing that night...with a gorgeous audience. They were feeling the love, y'all. Sam's "FEELS ON WHEELS" venue was set up smack dab in the middle of the festival grounds. On the record, you can hear some exquisitely well-timed squeals in the distance from rambunctious kids. After my set, Sam graciously invited me to stop by the next day...when I did, he gave me the 2-camera footage and the live sound mix. His 11-year-old daughter Elsa had been behind the lens...she's a pro. Maestro Craig Greening was on the Midas console mixing my set.

In the past month, I've cut a couple of videos from those files...they're up on my YouTube channel.

In the process of going through the footage, a handful of things occurred to me...

• Over the past few months, my livestreams have been tailored to my US audience—where I still share beautiful connections with loyal listeners, even after a decade away. I deeply miss so many dear souls there. While plans for a return stateside tour are still in the works, I thought, why wait? Why not bring them a live show now in some form?
• Each of my previous albums and EPs has captured something unique, but none truly reflect the sound and vibe of my current live performances.
• I’ve made a commitment not to let a year go by without releasing new music, and with 2024 almost behind us, it feels like the right time to create something special for the holiday season.
• December has been unusually slow for touring, leaving me with the time to make this happen—and the desire to connect with listeners in a meaningful way.

SO...I just hunkered down. I mastered the audio, and created the album artwork to release a LIVE ALBUM!

Live at Sam's Caravan includes five songs that were first on my 2023 Through the Fire album and
THREE NEW SONGS!

I hope you enjoy getting a glimpse of what I'm up to onstage these days...especially if you haven't seen a show in person in a while.

And by the way...

The album will only be available on my Bandcamp page for the time being. I don't plan on sending the album over to Spotify, etc. for some time...like, 6 months or so at least. That rapacious gerbil wheel can spin on its own without my contribution for now— in the meantime, CEO Daniel Ek will have to somehow make do with the $7.3 billion he's already got. When I get around to making my electropop-vaporwave opera...don't worry. I'll make sure to cover all the Spotify bases and such from the get-go for that one.
